Honeymoon Link-Up

Monday, April 16, 2012

I was creeping on myself on Facebook yesterday (yes, possible), and I realized... I never posted any pictures of our honeymoon. I think it took 8.7 years off of my life to upload all of the wedding pictures, so the last thing I wanted to do was upload more. Gross. So what to do? Honeymoon link-up party. Go ahead, get on it. We all wanna see pictures of your bad self in a bikini.

Grahm and I spent a week in Wakiki Beach, Hawaii -- aka the perfect way to relax after the ogre monkey of wedding stress. Man, I loved every second of it. I would have come back with a coconut bra, but they didn't have one small enough.

We stayed in the Hyatt Regency right on the beach, thanks to Grahm's wonderful parents. Funny story. The hotel workers went on strike while we were there. What the what? However, we were fine with it because we got lots of free stuff since our room wasn't cleaned for two days. Score.

We went snorkeling/dolphin watching. We both kinda suck at snorkeling. The whole going-under-water-to-stare-at-fish thing is fun, don't get my wrong, but somehow I always scared them away... this made me feel like a fat, hungry whale. "Look ouuuut! She's coming!!"

This fetus just got married, y'all.

The deck off of our room. We were on the 17th floor. The view was out-of-this-world.

Gift basket from the Roaches!

We kayaked four miles to a teensy tiny island. My arms still hurt. I was also paranoid about getting the camera wet the entire time.

We made it to the island!

Quite the scandal, I know. Our hilarious tour guide made all the honeymooners pose this way. I couldn't stop laughing. Does anyone need a cover for their romantic novel?

Our only mistake of the whole trip. If you go, don't take a tour. Holy moly. Three hours is too much Pearl Harbor and not enough Josh Hartnett. Am I right?

We were so blessed to have such a wonderful honeymoon. I mean, for real. Laying on the beach, soakin' up some sun with my wonderful, perfect husband... can we go back now please? My thighs need some tan. (Tan fat is prettier than pasty flub.)

Link-up and tell me your honeymoon story!

I absolutely love Hawaii. Looks like a you guys had a total blast (even if the hotel workers were on strike?).

Oh crap. I meant to link up our honeymoon post, but linked up the one I wrote today. Oh well. There is a link to the honeymoon post in it. Is that OK? I feel like I am breaking some sort of blog rules. Don't judge me too harshly. Eeeek.

Hope you're doing well and that those babes are treating you like a nanny queen. I am doing some temporary work and taking care of a 2 month old little girl. She's a peanut. And so cute to boot.

I'm linking up a post that I wrote over a year ago, I hope that's okay!! :-) Your honeymoon looked like a dream come true, and you are way too cute in your itty bitty bikini. I kind of hate you. Thanks, bye.

Oh my gosh your pictures are gorgeous!! My boyfriend and I went there a few months ago and kayaked to the same little island! SO much fun, but our beach pictures are nowhere near as fun ;). Hopefully my honeymoon will be just as pretty!

We honeymooned before there were decent cameras for the regular folks, aka Kodak instamatics. It was also before anyone thought to honeymoon beyond Texas. So we went white bass fishing for a week. Romantic, huh! I did take a pic of hubby with the big fish he caught on the first day. But when we had it developed I had cut the fish out of the pic and it looked like he was holding up an empty line. So it's not worth linking up and I wouldn't know how to do that anyway! Your pics are great!

Wowowow! Looks like a super-fun honeymoon!!! Your photos are absolutely fabulous! Makes me want to go on a tropical vacation!!!
My hubby and I went to Tahoe for a week (our "mini" honeymoon) and then went to Italy for a month- six months after the wedding (our "big" honeymoon). It was the best ever!

You guys are too adorable for words. What a great tour guide to have you pose like that, cause how awkward to deliberately ask someone to take a pic of that pose. But honestly it's a great shot, you're kids will love it.

Wowee, your honeymoon looked incredible! I can only hope that some day, when I find a man crazy/stupid enough to want to commit to my walrus features and abstract mind, that we will enjoy a holiday as lovely as this looks! LOVE the cheesy beach shot that you were obliged to pose for, it's brilliant!
