Life Mysteries, not exactly an exhaustive list

1. How I can't physically put mascara on without opening my mouth. Not exactly innovative stuff here, but seriously... Can't. Close. It.

2. How Worcester sauce became a thing. It's impossible to say or spell, and it's grizz to the maxola.

3. Why Grahm refuses to use our bathroom. He has to grody up the ridiculously clean guest bath. What's better about that one anyway? I know for a fact the seat isn't any plushier. I mean, sure... no one's coming over to apartment now. But when we start making friends, this habit has to go. (Refer to this post for previous apartment pooping stories, cause I know you wanna read 'em.)

4. Why picking a gynecologist seems to be life-threatening. You've gotta wonder about these people...  I literally came across a female doctor in the San Antonio area with the last name Woody-Gross. (Don't think about that one too long.) Also, I'm terrible with dealing with insurance crap. Co-pay whhaaaa?

5. Why it's impossible to tickle yourself. I wish I could make myself laugh whenever I wanted by sticking my fingers in my armpits. Talk about a good time.

6. Grahm and I went house hunting this weekend, just because. When did I become my parents? (We saw the most gorgeous $600,000 house ever. We let the relator know to call us if they go down $200, 000 or so. But for real, I was drooling over those bedrooms.

7. Why does daylight savings put me in such a good mood? I should be grouchy, I mean sleeping is kinda the only thing I'm good at it. Depriving me of an hour is like a death sentence, look out for the crazed woman with top-of-the-morning-to-ya breath...

I've some how managed to learn to close my mouth while putting on mascara! I don't know how but I can for some reason.

& I hated picking a gynecologist when I moved and I still don't think I like my new one! It seems like this crazy adventure to find a good one. Also, I CANNOT have a male gyno, it freaks me out enough to go to the gyno, let alone have a male gyno.

House hunting is fun REGARDLESS of when you actually want to purchase!!! And it took me forever to find a lady-doctor. Look for references. Mine is awesome. Well, as awesome as you can hope for your gyno to be... I am still not a fan when she's "doing her job...". Ick.

Finding a good gyno is hard!

Love all of these! The mascara thing truly is a mystery!

I wish I could go house hunting right now...alas, we're probably 3-4 years out from another house switch so I'll just keep my dreaming to myself in our little 3 bed/2 bath house!

And good luck with the gyno search! I searched mid-pregnancy and it was craziness! Thankfully I have an awesome lady now & won't ever be switching!

I remember growing up watching my mom put on mascara and her telling me, "For some reason, your mouth will ALWAYS stay open!". When I started wearing makeup, I remembered what she told me and of course I wanted to be different so I trained myself to keep my closed closed! lol

I saw the most impressive thing; my friend Liz can put on liquid eyeliner with one hand--like, she pulls her eyelid and draws the line all with her hand. I was so impressed that I tried it and nearly poked out an eye. #girlfail

If I could tickle myself, the world would be a much happier place. My husband would find life more peaceful anyway, because I wouldn't always be pestering him to tickle my back.

The first one is so funny to me because just yesterday I was trying SO hard to put on mascara without opening my mouth. It's impossible!

You always crack me up! I'm so with you on the mascara! Impossible. Also this might be TMI but I'm married and still haven't visited the gyno! I know that's horrible but I'm the same way and I'm scared to go lol!

Flipping hilarious! Love these random little things. :)

This whole post cracked me up! The gyno always has a lecture for me about my blood pressure. It is always off the scales just because I have to go to the gyno. It's fine normally... ha My gyno is actually the same one that delivered me. :)

I constantly find myself with my mouth open when applying mascara and have to tell myself to close it! lol.

The mascara thing is truth. I do the same, and can't knock it- maybe we can be hypnotized out of it? Funny gyno name in my local phone book: Dr. Girly (and it is a man). SERIOUSLY. Also, I love daylight savings time because the sun is out so much longer in the evenings! YAY! Summer is coming!

Haha, nice name for a gynecologist.
And I know what you mean about the guest bath thing - Husband used to do that, too, and it drove me crazy!

I keep my mouth closed while putting on mascara, for some reason.

My gyno here is one of the best in Indiana -- when I first got a Big Girl Job with the Big Girl Insurance, I asked a few close co-workers for recommendations, and they all recommended the same one. So then I was in a meeting one day, and this lady said, "I won't be here Friday morning for the next meeting, I have an appointment with Dr. [famous gyno]," and everyone in the room was like, "uhhhhhh..." because all the women had the same gyno and so did all the men's wives. That awkward moment when you know your project manager is having her cervix looked at.

The gyno doesn't have a weird name though. Would be cool if she did.

I totally do the mascara thing too. I have been making myself keep my mouth shut, just to see if I can...lol. They daylight savings switcharoo has put me in a good mood too, and I didn't realize thats what it was until you just said it. HA!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! It was so fun to see a new comment! I get excited about those things... ;) I'm still a newbie!

We're in the process of house hunting too. So exciting! Our last house (rented) was just under 500 sq ft so I can sympathize with the teensy living quarters. Thank goodness the newly wedded bliss made the close living quarters tolerable. Ha!

I have a good Gyno in San Antonio, if you are interested in details let me know! I've been going to him for about 9 years now. brittwooldridge@gmail.com

HELLO SUNSHINE! That's THE BEST thing about the time change. And I can totally put mascara on without opening my mouth (nanabooboo) ;-)

Househunting for the heck of it is like a right of passage...welcome to adult hood.

At least you guys have more than one bathroom! We lived with one bathroom for a while and nearly had a party when we could actually use the bathroom... at the same time... in different bathrooms. Party. :)
Also, my first OBGYN's last name was Grossman. No joke. Pah ha!

Haha my husband was making fun of me for the mascara thing once. I tried to close my mouth and I couldn't do it!! Loving your blog! You're gorgeous!

I'm totally going to test the mascara theory out now - I've never noticed whether I put in on with my mouth closed or open - but after tomorrow morning it will no longer be a mystery!

Gynos are a funny thing - I refuse to go to a male gyno, I know it's immature, but to me there's something so wrong about the whole thing!

I try the mascara thing all the time, and sometimes it's possible but that's only when I'm forcing myself to close my mouth! And Daylight Savings makes me sad for losing an hour of sleep, but it also means it stays lighter for later so it makes me happy :)

Haha! so funny as usual! I don't know why us women can't put mascara on without looking like we are catching flies! Good luck with the gyno search, I know it can be awkward! Thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog, I hope you continue to read and enjoy it! XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.com/
